Sold my MacBook Air today... took a stroll down to the Apple store and picked up at brand new 13" MacBook Pro with the 2.53ghz processor and 4GB RAM. The greatest thing about my trip... I presented my 10 year old Univ of Texas student ID and got the back to school promotion! I got a $100 discount off the laptop AND a free 8GB iPod Touch!! (with $229 mail in rebate). I'm trying not to get too much drool on them. Oh... and redsn0w jailbroke that Touch in no time! WOO!

Very nice, but I still don't know why they call it a "Pro".

It's identical to the previous 13" Aluminum Book sans a bit of processor speed...

Looks great man! I have my macbook for sale right now. The moment it sales I will be getting the same 13" Pro. I used my 7 year old UTSA id card last time, guess I will break it out again

Do you find the 13" screen size to small?
Im still trying to think of whats better to do, spend a little more to get the 15" or not. What do you guys think?

I personally love the 13" screen although I have a desktop with dual 19" wide screen monitors so it's all about what you're going to use it for.

That must be a real kick in the balls for anyone who bought the laptop a year ago; they essentially have the same computer, but they don't have the extra three letters on their screen to define their "pro-ness".
I will probably buy this laptop in August when I accumulate the funds. ~_~

Yeah I'm ready to get mine anytime now. I start college in sep on a programming course. I already have a White but I want 2 as I gonna become a dev full time.
