Going to Germany... what plug adapter do I need?
I'm going to Germany on Friday for a week. I have a 220 to 110 inverter but in order to plug in my laptop I need a US > Euro adapter with a ground. Anyone know where I can get something like that?

the airport sells them. In heathrow, they always sell lots of them after the first security checks; near the suitcase locks and stuff. One can only assume that the American airports are just as well equipped.

If it's an Apple product, you don't need that. Just the plug adapter.

Staples also sells adapters. For your iPhone/iPod, most laptops you only need the plug. If you need a shaver or hairdryer you will need the voltage adapter. Germany and the rest of the EU uses the plug with the two round pins.
The Targus has the adapter with the ground

I live in germany all you need is cheap 79cent adapters from say Radioshack or I think even houseing stores sell them. Ill throw up some pictures for you of the socket and the adapter I am talking about. DO NOT GET THE APPLE KIT UNLESS YOUVE GOT THE MONEY TO SPEND.
That is somewhat true. Most higher end shavers and hairdryers have a voltage switch for them so that you can switch them. Also depending on where your going and if there used to tourists you could get lucky and find 110v plugs, rarely though

True- my hairdryer has a voltage switch. I have seen a few of the 110V plugs in hotels but they have all clearly stated "for electric razors only" They dont usually support the higher wattage of a hair dryer. FWIW- Most of the hotels Ive stayed at in Germany and other places in Europe- have had hairdryers in the rooms.
