    Default Is this an eBay scam?

    I'm selling my 2G 8GB iPhone starting at $200 free shipping. I got this question from someone;

    can i know the condition of this item and my offer for item $380.00 USD including the shipping (International) via USPS Express Mail.
    Real or scam?

    1. Paypal protects you, no payment, no ship
    2. I believe that eBay has rules about selling your item like this unless you have a buy it now option.
    3. Sounds like a you would be getting top dollar for $380.00

    Good luck.

    Naive much? All he has to do is ship it out and once it leaves the country there is NO call back for the package. He pays for expensive express mail AND loses his item. Using express mail they can have the item before paypal realizes the credit card is stolen.

    As a matter of fact OP, sell it to him. You ask and I answered and you told him to bid on it. Serves ya right.

    I would assume that he would not ship unless he has "Cash In Fist"

    But anyway,sounds sketchy to me.

    Anyone who offers more than the asking price is trying to scam you. Usually they are Nigerians or from other countries known for credit card fraud. Do not accept any payments from these individuals.

    Not personal experience but as a finance supervisor for convention planners have seen it all!

    Paypal does not always protect you as some here say... I know this from experience.... also you might want to read this thread as well and you will see what paypal did with them....

    http://www.modmyi.com/forums/chit-ch...ypal-scam.html

    I am also aware of this guy that used paypal to pay itunes for apps... someone hacked into itunes and the person charged $400.00 worth of stuff and from what I understood at that time itunes would not give him a refund nor paypal.... after that I will only use paypal if I have one of my credit cards on it so if something happens I have my credit card company handle paypal....

    it's a scam! same happened to me twice yesterday.. I found out it was a scam relisted then another scammer bought it...

    I decided it was time to just try an auction instead of a fixed price.
