Class of 2009!
So my graduation is tomorrow. I only managed to go through the rehearsal once.... So I'm gonna be improvising the whole time. Plus, I am saying the opening prayer.
Are there any other members here part of the Class of '09?Gamertag - Scikotic IT Guy

I already have a part time job at the local Sheriff's Office. Its really just a fill in position because on the the ladies that works there had to have major surgery. They have told me that I will be able to keep my job when she returns. I am loving the benefits of my job. Cop pulls me over... "Oh hey, didn't I see you at the S.O. today?" annnnd I get my truck washed whenever I want. In the fall, I am going to be starting college to get a four year degree in Electronics and Engineering Technology and then two more years after that to get my Biomedical Engineering degree.
Stupid juniors..... Haha jk. I have next to no friends in my graduating class, of 25 I should add. All the peeps I hang out with are juniors.Last edited by SharpieBandit; 05-08-2009 at 10:08 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I'm waiting on the fall to start school up again. I gotta have time to collect money for the $400 I'm about to spend on a box, amp, and two 10 inch subs I'm putting in my truck. Well that and, much more importantly, my habit of randomly buying flowers for a certain someone.

Ahh so my gf was supposed to be going on a family trip today. I found out that decided not to go on it.... only to find out that they weren't going on the trip because they forgot she had to babysit one of her teachers kids today. So she can't come to my grad for a different reason now. Yay.
Plus, I'm supposed to say the opening prayer, and have no clue what to say. I mean I know it should be from the heart and all, but I would like to have at least a rough idea of what to say. Any tips?Gamertag - Scikotic IT Guy

Do you go to private school? Because I don't think they even allow an opening prayer at my school haha...
But I suggest possibly looking up some 'high school graduation prayers', etc. Just speak about the usual things: "graduation, next step in life, going forward, new paths' etc. I hope your prayer comes out great and congratulations on graduating!

Its a school full of people with thick country accents. So yeah... I make myself not talk with an accent though. Sometimes I try and talk with the accent my bro that moved to Boston talks with. Its a public school in the deep south so they allow Christian-based ideas. Since 99.6% are Baptists anyway.

Well SharpieBandit, I'd suggest that you speak from the heart, approach the topic in a modest way, don't forget that your audience is part of the speech (cater your comments to your audience), don't use cliche's, and most of all, write it down on note cards. And for gods sake, don't forget what your going to say because of nervousness.

Good luck to you!Viruses
