new server software
I'm sure if you've spent any time on the site... you've noticed as we have grown we've also slowed down a bit (only a bit - we try hard to keep this place fast). We're always adding to and tweaking our hardware/software setup in the interest of better performance - and have just finished transitioning to a new HTTP software. cash7c3 finally got pissed enough at Apache's performance to bch and moan.
You should notice some big differences in site speed... help us out by reporting here if you do.
We hope this will make for a noticeable increase in load times, so let us know how the place feels.
Also let us know if anything changed considerably on the SLOWER side (let us know specifically) so we can fine tune this. It should be good to go as it is, but like I said - always tweaking.

The forums are snappy, but the home page takes like 15 seconds to load for me

Around midnight-ish, the site just stopped for me. Its obviously fixed now, but all of the sudden, it just stopped...

Actially a couple of times ive clicked a thread and it gives me a white screen and loads forever. If i refresh, it loads up immediately. Dunno if thats just me or not.
