My dog needs surgery and my mom won't pay it):
My little Pomeranian needs surgery. Her hormones are really acting up and her vaginal lining has emerged. It'll cost $500, but my mom won't pay for it. I was wondering if going around and selling under-priced candy at like $2/piece or something, and tell them the reason why, would people do it? Would you do it? Thanks. Here she is.

Almost all vets will work on payment plans when the dog NEEDS surgery. Go to the vet that diagnosed it and tell them that "as they are aware the dog needs surgery. You cannot pay it all at once time, but it is something necessary to do so will you allow me to make payments". I have not seen too many vets that will say no.
If they say no, go to the next vet in the book because that one is no good. Vets are a business, but they are there to treat animals and they will work with you so tomorrow you need to get on it. Your dogs condition is very painful for it and needs to be worked on asap so get to asking, for the dogs sake.Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning

Just call the vet and tell them the situation and ask them for suggestions. Your dog can't sit there and wait forever. Get going. They'll help you.

Feeling your pain my friend. I recently lost my Golden Retriever that was 14 years old. Spent a ton of money trying to keep her well.
Vets are very compassionate and will work with you.
Good Luck

Sorry to hear, sad that your Mom won't help either.
I agree with Broomhead and one1, the vets want to see animals healed, thats why they chose their profession, they'll help out.
Best of luck, keep us updated.

They will try and help if they are good vets. Most will work out payment plans. I just spent almost $4000 on my dog. She progressively ate less and less then stated vomiting and having really bad watery diarrhea. Went through all kinds of blood work (all normal) then ultrasound- irst one thought she had an ulcer. Those meds only helped a little for a short time. Went to a specialist for another ultrasound that shoed major irregularities in her intestines (why teh first on missed this is a quesiotn). Then she ended up having an endoscope that revealed terrible inflammation from her mid-esphpagus through most of her GI tract most in the intestines. They took some biopsies which should be back next week but the probably diagnosis is Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) ir possible early cancer. They got her on some better meds and within a day she was eating again. We just brought her home last night and we have our dog back. She hasnt looked this good in a very long time.
I feel for you because most people would have either let her starve to death which is what was happening since she wasnt eating at all. She lost 15 lbs in a month. or they would have put her down. Now if she had no hope of feeling better that owuld be the kind thing to do , but today she is happy, chased her ball is eating and acting like she had never been sick. This is after a good 6-8 weeks of sickness.
You cant put a price on love.

I hope everything works well, tell your friends, family members, church or other community organization, anything..
Call up the VET and explain your problem. They'll most likely be compassionate and help you with as people have said before, payments or other solutions.

Maybe his mom just doesn't have the money and that is why she doesn't want to spend the money.... however there might be a free clinic that will fix her for a cheap price or discounted rate... call you animal shelter and see if they know of any of these clinics.... to bad... down here in Florida there is a clinic that will fix them for $60.00

Your welcome and let us know if you do find anything out.... also you could call local rescues as well they might be able to direct you for help..... there has to be something in your area... that is the number one thing everyone is doing... trying to help the pet populations by spay/neuter... and many are doing it for almost nothing.....
