I have an older Belkin one that supposedly has up to 30ft range. I'd say it'd definitely be good from 15ft... It's pretty old, too. Maybe give one of the newer Belkin ones a try?

^Looks good, man. Sort of large style like mine is, too.

Also, I can't believe it has 1GB of flash memory. Cool...

Logitech G7
Newegg.com - Logitech G7 Black 6 Buttons Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser 2000 dpi Mouse - Mouse
My girlfriend bought me this for my birthday and I absolutely LOVE this mouse. It has 2 L-Ion batteries and a charge station. The station has a USB port so you can charge one battery while using the other. It is form fitting if you are right handed, comfortable, smooth, customizable buttons. There isn't anything that I don't love about this mouse.

I would go with a bluetooth mouse. Those will have the best range and least interference. I have a Microsoft bluetooth mouse and keyboard comba from a few years ago and it works great.
