I've been following the modmy guys around for years via their sites because they have a reputation they have spent a lot of time on as being solid and helpful. It looks like you are trying to rip off their modmy name. Did you even ask or did you think "oh hey look modmy is famous let me steal their name." Do your own thing. It's pathetic ripping other people off.

They can sue you. I hope they do.

btw first post! I don't post because search finds me everything i need to know but I felt someone needed to stand up for modmy here where they are being ripped off on their own site.

Im pretty sure he was just making the logo for no reason. Im SURE that if he made modmypre.com, it wouldnt last long. Now that ModMy is a trademark, I doubt they would be allowed to use it...

Well, being as you didn't give any info on what it is your doing, people tend to assume and make judgements....only info you gave was "what do you think?" on a modmypre logo, which I would assume is a website being made, but I haven't heard any modmy announcements of a modmypre being made so I assume u are working on one.

Now we know your not because of your last comment , but you can't blame anyone with the info giving. It's a nice logo tho

people could have assumed that I'm transferring the domain name to modmy and handing over my logo to them but unfortunately people usually make negative assumptions.
I'm hoping the modmy team would build modmypre.com because I believe the Palm pre is a very capable device and if it manages to compete with the iPhone both devices will improve and that's a very good thing for us, you know competition is always good for the consumers.

Apple goes after fanboy sites discussing (and there for promoting) their products.

Modmy probably wouldnt go after a fanboy site using "modmy" that discusses us and promote us. We do not however take kindly to someone using modmy for a site that does what we are known for doing.

^^^i love the sig. as for the logo i think a gloss effect on the letters would look nice but just a personal opinion. the gloss/glass effect seems to be popular lately otherwise very nice job
