need help with problem ,vista and my headphones

hi , i'am having a problem and really appreciate any help.
i have bought a headphone and it won't work with vista business on my desktop.i tried it on xp and it worked ,it's from china so it has no brand ,well it's a fake creative ("creative ep-420MV" is written on it ) any help please , thanks.

Does it show up on Playback Devices? (right-click the volume icon on the system tray)

If it does, you may need to select it as make it the default, then re-open the app/game/whatever you're using.
