iPhone as "chick magnet"?
Just came back from having dinner with my 19 year old son and his girlfriend. SHe and I hit it off . Its downright scary how similar we are. Guess I must have done something right (haha!) Anyway the discussion turned to family stories about weird things our parents have said to us. We are quite accepting of hearing our bad points form our kids so thes kind of things are talked about. Anyway, my son's GF tells us how her father joked that she only liked my son because he has an iPhone! To which my husband says, "well do you?" We all nearly died laughing.

maybe back when the iphone first came out...
now they are dime a dozen. fun to play with. but no chick pulling with a 2yr old device. some girls are anti-iphone since everyone wants/has one. i went to some phone spot yesterday to buy my girlfriend an iphone n some other girl in there was looking for a new phone, the phone clerk suggested the iphone n she said "hell no everyone has one of those"
i shook my head, n said pass me n iphone please thanks
dumb fangirls, by trying to not have one because "everyone has one of those" is just plain stupid. if u touch it, n realize what its capable of, she'd realize why everyone wants one lol1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd
waitin on my white iphone 4

That's why we laughed so hard. This girl is very birght and has a good set of priorities. She has told us that her parents can be a bit "out of touch". We have not met her parents so I can't opine, but her dad is much older than her mom. i think she said hes like 60 or something She is not the typical dumb girl. Shes pulling a 4.0 in her first semester at a decent school (wish some of that would rub off on my son) and is quite capable and far from being a dimwit. She would not be the type to go for someone because of something so lame as an object they owned.

Well, I do like a man with an iPhone, but that's probably just so I can show off all my mods

"LOOKIT!" I might say, "Lookit what I done! Admire my ingenuity and uniqueness! What you got on yours? Oh, default theme? Oh my, were you born boring? BAI LOL"
Well okay, I'd be a bit more mature than that

I think a JAILBROKEN iPhone with mods is more of a girl magnet haha.
It's definitely a conversation starter. I remember talking to some random girl (not bad looking at all) at court (of all places) because we both had iPhones and she noticed mine wasn't... "regular" lol."Thanks" button. Learn it. Use it. Love it.

My girlfriend HATES my iPhone. Then again, she hates anything related to technology. It's weird because she's a chemical engineer so she uses technology almost every day (she works with the Air Force, even!) but if you can get away using a pen and paper (like for directions, or notes, or anything) then using my iPhone is a stupid option.
So I'm going to go with no, it isn't a chick magnet :P
