I remember the extremely heavy snow and ice that fell in the mid-90s when I lived in Billerica, MA. We had no power for four days and a power crew from western Pennsylvania finally showed up and got us powered up again.

No trucks have made it to us yet.
There is more to the issue than just hooking every back up.
A lot of the hardwood tree have been invaded bythe Asian Beetle so those trees require special handling.
2 miles down the road looks like a typical new england winter day, no broken trees, no ice, and so on.

Wow. Saw pics on the news today. We just had tons of rain here. Reminds me of the ice we had back in '94. One night it was 10 degrees (F) and it was raining! We ended up with a sheet of ice 4" thick. Weather stayed cold for months it seemed. I was expecting my youngest st the time and it was a royal pain getting to the mailbox at the end of the driveway without falling i devrloped great balance as far as electricity thst winter, fortunately our power lines on our street are underground, but we did lose pose oncefor about 18 hours. We live on the same power grid as a major intersection and a large strip mall so we rarely are without power for long.

I'm further down 495 (right next to Gillette) and we've had a whole ton of branches blown off trees... no power outages thankfully

good god thats bad. great shots though. over here in utah we were supposed to get some bad stuff but we only have like 3 inches of snow. its odd that all these other places are getting hit hard and like nothing here. last year we had over a foot and a half ON THE GROUND.
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

We finally got power back at 3pm.
Everything in the house is freaking cold. The air temps is finally comfortable but sofa, pillows, the bed , computers are still pretty cold.
When we were here yesterday the house was 39 degrees.
It seems ATT in some of the areas up here is having issues.
All the ATT phones at work were going in and out of service.
Yeah, friday 6 to 12 which really means for Worcester 12 to 18. LOL
Then the Sunday/Monday will be ugly.
Tomorrow's agenda:
1. wake up and run through the house naked.
2. take a long hot shower.
3. break out the 10 hp snowblower and fire her up.
4. Go pick up the some (we have a ton of debris to move)
5. after that its barley and hops time.

That's crazy. We had something like that back in 95. Right now we have tons of snow and ice but not as bad as you guys. I haven't been to work in 3 days. You gotta love telecommuting.
