thoughts from a fellow student:
i found out quickly that i didn't like high school very much.. i really just was not into anything, so i put my focus to academics. i am 17 years old, i work 30-40 hrs a week at a full service gas station.. i graduated from high school four days ago, and i'll have a 2 year general degree from Utah Valley University at the end of summer semester 2009.. and then a bacherlors degree in computer networking at the end of spring 2011.. I graduated a semester early from high school with a 3.6 cumulative GPA... i don't want to boast or anything, but i'm just saying that it is possible.. i'm not extraordinary or anything, you just have to set your mind to it, keep up with your homework. even if it is a teacher you hate, just lay down and do what they ask..
If your high school guidance counselors are idiots (like mine were) get a list of graduation requirements, and plan your years out. If your school offers summer school as an option to advance, do it. don't be afraid to take the hard classes.. they aren't that tough, if you pay attention and study.
anyway, just wanted to give you a different outlook on high school... if you don't like it, just get it done quick..
Great presentation BTW..
Good Luck
