about to be a photography noob

i wanna get into photography, its always just been a thought in my head. so i think this winter i'm gonna take the plunge and by myself a digital slr.

i dont really know much about photography and i was hoping some of you guys might give me some advice or even encouragement. the camera i will prolly pick up is this one: Future Shop: Cameras & Camcorders: Digital SLR Packages: Canon EOS Rebel XSi 12.1MP DSLR With 18-55mm lens & 75-300mm Zoom Lens Package

any thoughts on that camera and teh lenses provided or even the brand in general?

i live in a beautiful city with lots of scenery, as well its has its major urban areas giving me lots of opportunity to take greaty pictures from various perspectives.

I have a Nikon D90 digital SLR and LOVE it. The pictures are crazy good, and I dont even know nearly enough about using it take full advantage of it. I know Canon makes good stuff too but I never used that model.

hmm, thanks. ya i figure i wanna be able to get a camera that has lots of upgradeable lenses. nikon and canon are probably my top choices.

that is a great camera, it just takes some getting used to.
