I heard that there is no difference in hdmi cables because it's a digital something blah blah , so I went and bought a monster cable for 125.99 and a AR hdmi for 9.99 and tested it on my ps3 and a 55 inch 1080p t.v. and it had no difference...

Anything over 10 feet or 3 meters you start crossign the threshold of needing to move into a higher grade cable. When dealing with 1080p there is a lot of data being transmitted and even though it is digital the signal degradation over longer lengths tends to cause losses resultingin drop outs, digital checkering and loss of sound.

twitter.com/dale1vMicrosoft owns the internet through Hotmail. The .HTML is short for Hotmail, so all .HTML files are MS files.

In my HDMI set up I 6 3 foot runs and 1 6 foot run. The 6 foot run is an expensive $100 cable. The build quality of the 6ft cable is truly fantastic, with excellent connectors and built in strain reliefs. Would I feel comfortable with a $6 cable from monoprice, yes.
If I had any long runs the cable purchase would be serious scrutinized.
Short runs; just look for decent connectors and gold plating is a joke as is nitrogen blah blah blah.

Just remember that you cant seen under the hood. The soldering maybe horrible, wires are stripped back too far, cold solder joints and so on.
That is not to say that the more expensive companies don't have issues, just less likely.
Some Hdmi connectors are the incorrect size and may not fit in the socket correctly and damage the connector. The most common problem I have seen with the less expensive cables is the plug opening being too narrow and the lead being bend inward.
I can't beleive the stores are charging what they do let alone people buying them.
Oh well.
