    Default iBack

Many of you remember me? Well, I took a "break" from iPhone modding, catching up with life in general and getting used to the new 2.x stuff... just quickpwned today to see what's new. Things are slowing down I see, but this community apparently is still alive and kicking. W

Honestly I just jailbroke again because of Backgrounder. Somehow this app has gotten my Phone app running weird. Anyone have the same experience?

Anyway, just wanted to say I'm back.

Welcome back. We are larger and better now. MWA HA HA HA. as far as the phone app is concerned i have issues with backgrounder doing weird stuff to my apps to, particularly my mail app. i just have to do a hard restart (holding home and lock button down) and then it seems to come back to life. Backgrounder is buggy but is still one AWESOME app.

Welcome back, man. I remember you from before; I took a break from messing with my phone and visiting MMi too, for a while and I'm glad I came back...

    Welcome back.

Backgrounder uses a "daemon" to process in the background.

Daemon's are resource HOGS....they will eat up processor resources, memory and battery life. I dont like running anything of that nature on the iphone. Another good example is "Intelliscreen" which will do the same thing.

They tend to make the whole system "unstable".

Yeah I've noticed that with those kind of apps, but Backgrounder fills such a huge void that Apple left out, especially with not letting IM apps push.

There's a reason Apple doesn't want 3rd party Apps running the background. And you've seen an example for yourself.

I don't think that it was the fact that it was running in the background, cuz the phone and mail apps started to open weirdly even before I used it once.
