How many bones worth of computing do you have?
Equipment + software cost = lets here it.
How much would you say you have in your PC/laptop taking into account software cost?
Dont wanna know where the software came from
....in other words what you actually spent, but what it would add up too.
Can include personal and/or office. Just for fun!
I'll start, while working in the ATL....my Dell tower:
Tower $6200
Software $47k approx.
Total= $53,200
Get as detailed as you like....I just dont wanna

I'm on a TRS-80, about $13 from the yard sale. I read the forums in C+, DOS, and BASIC.

I'd say about $4000 total. I have no idea what you guys are spending your money on.

I'm afraid to add it all up. With 5 in the family, all very wired it ads up.
Dell dimension 9100 desktop
Dell inspiron 9100 laptop
Dell dimension 8300 desktop
2 cyberpower gaming desktops
One self built gaming desktop( my son spent $1200 on this)
Software? A few thousand maybe.
And I'm pleased to report...
I won an eBay auction yesterday for my very first Mac, a white Macbook complete with loads of software intel core 2 duo. Can't wait till I get it!
We were at the Apple store on Saturday to exchange my sons 2g iPhone that no longer vibrates and after seeing the MacBooks again we couldn't resist.
FWIW, no problems getting the iPhone swapped. I had restored to stock before taking it in and visibly the iPhone looked great almost no scratches, so the Apple genius had no clue this fell down a flight of stairs onto a tile floor. The replacement looks new. It came with 2.0.2 firmware so I winpwned it then upgraded to 2.1 and then quickpwned it. Easiest jailbreak ever. Had all the mods back on within an hour.

I pretty much refuse to buy anything that isn't on Steam anymore. No need to worry about installation disc, CD keys, updates, Steam handles it all for me. And they're coming with a new system called Cloud or something that's going to save your system/control settings AND your save games online too so you can uninstall / get a new computer / go to a friends house and have all your stuff with you anywhere you are.

Exactly. Often you get the games sooner too. Instant gratification.

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.
