My Mac is back. I had to do a clean install then have it transfer from time machine. Got that done and I am typing this on the imac with safari. So happy.

I checked into it and your bootcamp partition can corrupt your mac partition. I've never seen a mac partition get corrupt by just surfing, you have to do something real stupid to pull it off. When did you use or update the winblows side last?

I can almost say 98% sure it was Onyx. I ran it to check permissions and with my being tired I probably hit one of the cache tabs also. So it could have messed up something along that way.

I run onxy every month and I hit the "do everything" automatic tab with EVERYTHING checked including system. It always comes back up. It could have been on your system, but now it should be set up and not do it again.

Yea I do it every month or two and it is fine but this time it didn't come back. I didn't do anything different between the last reboot other than that. No new programs installed or anything removed.
