Growl wants $4 for an update when I have one app that uses it. Hmmm. Don't think so.
And just my luck. Today after finally doing a boot camp install of Windows 7 Parallels goes on sale for $50. Ugh.

no one needs 16 GB of ram, but ram is SO cheap. no reason not to. which is why expensive ram upgrades are stupid.

I just upgraded my Windows laptop from 4Gb to 8Gb of RAM - it cost £17.95 - how much is a similar upgrade for a MAC and why can't you do it yourself? He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

That's a video of the swap. Pretty simple but the drives are so expensive right now.

I use to have 16gb of ram in my 13 inch pro I had and loved it. But honestly with the ssd and 8gbs of ram my retina runs much better than any laptop I have owned. Hell any computer I have owned and have had 16 different macs in the the last 3 years

guys, i have a $100 absolute max budget for multimedia speakers. They can be PC speakers, they can be refurb (if they have a 1 year+ warranty), or they can be actual like amp speakers (must include price of an amp/reciever, i can think of a working mini amp for $20.) Can you guys think of ANYTHING? i should mention i would prefer a 2.1 setup, but i dont need major bass, just enough to play music/games/movies normally in better quality then now. so 2.0 if it has some sort of bass is fine. thanks to any of yall that can help...

When i got them I was kinda iffy, but they are pretty amazing for what they are. Check elsewhere for better prices on them. I would easily pay $75 to get another set
