are iphone 3gs still a valid device? as in, are most every app compatible with it, including more modern apps, or is it to slow?
if i want my phone to stay dated, MUST i buy an iphone 4? i dont need higher screen res and stuff, i just need most apps to be compatible with it.

Ya, little slower than the newer iPhones but still pretty much runs "almost" everything the do.
