You bake your ex in it?

I read this morning that Isaac was now heading to Alabama, Mississippi border. I have not so fond memories of hurricanes growing up in South Florida. Bummer...
Hoping you all will be safe.

I cannot express the anger I have at the sentence for this guy.

Why? I feel he deserves more but the courts have spoken. And most people there believe it is right.

He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

That sort of thing doesn't happen in Europe.

In America you go to prison to be punished, in Europe the loss of your freedom is your punishment.

I understand but that's less than a year for each kid that he killed.

And I know they have the right to keep him longer but still. Also he only said sorry that he didn;t kill more.

another injustice is that political assassinations on this magnitude "win" by default.
Current polling has the center-left government trailing the center-right opposition, in possible elections next year.

And when much of the next generation of enthusiastic leftist kids are dead and buried,
its going to be tough to make a comeback in the coming years.

its not a left vs right problem.

its a problem that: if you kill ENOUGH of the other side's core, they lose, and your side wins.
(and I can't think of any punishment meted out on Breivik that would address the issue)

With all due respect, I don't think seventy-seven people make up a majority of a major political party, even in sparsely-populated Norway.

Also, I'm of the opinion of "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." That being said, I doubt this guy will ever see the light of day again (the twenty-one year sentence can be extended indefinitely for five years at a time--and I suspect it will be continued ad infinitum).

Well, technically, an eye for an eye just leaves the world with people that have bad depth perception. Unless they're Cyclopses.

The 3D industry wouldn't do so well either

Not that we want them to do well . All 3D movies I have seen have been really pointless to see in 3 D. (And needless to say, i did not see Avatar in 3 D, which apparently was spectacular)
