It's a dope crib, and priced about HALF what it should be. A house like that with 3 finished levels, 6k sq ft, 1.1 million property value, rents for about 4.5k a month here. He has it at 2.4k a month. I am just having a hard time pissing away 2.4k a month on nothing..... I'll never see it again. Rent is only paying someone else's mortgage. It's an easy way to live baller on a budget though. 2.4k a month for that house is crack price.

2.4k x 12 = $28,000.00 a year with a 2 year contract is $56,000.00 in 24 months. If you gave someone almost $60,000.00 in two years wouldn't you like something other than the air in your pocket to show for it? Me too, don't care how nice it is and don't care if it IS half price. My current payments are half that and I am in a lease to own so every dime goes towards the mortgage and I am locked into it for when I am ready to buy.

28,000 = Alot of money. You could probably buy like a permanent house like 3 years from now for the price of that. It is kind of a ripoff... I agree with you there.

Only thing you could buy for 28K here and live in is a car lol. My house was 800K and it is not big, 2 bedroom, 1 bath.

My dad still owns a home in the Florida Keys (Islamorada) about half way to Key West, that he bought in the 70's, Ocean and Bay access, 2 story, Dock for 3 plus boats, 3/4 acre, 4 bedroom/2 1/2 bath and he paid less then 59K for it back then, now it is worth almost 2 million. Good investment huh? He says he would never sell it, keep it in the family, so cool.
He rent's it out for the winter season, (pays the taxes) and goes down to fish and relax a few times a year.
Have such great memories as a kid there, awesome place. Soon he will retire and move there to live. I actually hope it's sooner then later. Would love to spend some time there with him.
I haven't been down there since we moved to AZ in 2000.

So I know first hand that Paradise ain't cheap.

Dang my house was 400K and it has 3 baths (4 if we were to finish our basement lol) and 4 bedrooms. We got something like 4,500 square ft. 800K in Michigan can buy you something close to a mansion (Or a really big house at the least)!
