Try something other than Ubuntu, it sucks. That's just my opinion tho.

Puppy Linux is faster and runs Flash faster than XP. It still sucks though.

There's hundreds of distros out there it's finding one that you prefer. I prefer to bootstrap and build gentoo from source. This allows you to custom compile for your hardware. Slackware is another I'm fond of. If your new to linux you may try fedora core. I've found that they all seem to run faster than windows if set up properly.

I bought a 1989 GT Performer frame on ebay and another GT Performer parts bike to help with the build. Very excited to be doing an old school bike build.

I've got an old dyno nitro frame I'd sell. It's orange the whole bike is there it just needs bearings. I'll take a couple pics if your interested.

I'm a GT guy. Always have been. Guy tried to sell me a Redline and a Diamond Back for like $50 each back in the day and I told him to go _ _ _ _ himself I like GT's. It's always been a passion to ride GT's.

That's like saying GM makes Chevy's. Bowties are a bit more popular than "GM" keychains.
