Yeah, the desk I'm using is in bad shape anyway. I plan on moving in four months so after that I'll go get a nice black desk to bring it all together.

24 hours away from having my new MacBook Pro up and running after $800+ worth of repairs. The plan is to give it to mom, but I've been thinking she actually might do better with my white Macbook due to it's size/weight. Not sure if I'll keep it or give it to her, but new HD, Logic, and Case........ damn near completely rebuilt it.

IDK one, but i have used the white macbooks more than the pros simply because i like them better for that reason.

can anyone say how music really sounds in surround speakers compared to stereo speakers/headphones?

surround is in the processor, the speakers merely do the work. having that said, most processors don't do surround they merely echo and delay at pre-determined rates which is useless. proper surround is the bomb

If you can set the rear timing on your receiver chances are it just echoing/delaying. More modern and expensive top of the line surround receivers do true surround. Older and cheaper models do echo/delay methods. You cant buy a $200 surround setup and expect true surround sound. I've got an older pioneer surround receiver (echo)and a almost brand new Harmon kardon (true surround) the difference is amazing.

I really wanna buy another iPad, but you get so little for the money. Macs have always been a better purchase, especially when you are buying like a white Macbook with 4gb of ram and a 120gb hd for $350-ish, but can't score a 16gb ipad 2 for under $425.

I think I have ridden the insanity train long enough. I'm buying Mac's again to go with my 4S instead of useless tablets that only surf.
