i barely remember 9/11. i was in first grade, lolz. I didnt really understand it then. I just remember a bunch of the teachers crying and others just staring at the TV without anything to say.
It is a really sad day though. My prayers out to anyone who lost a family member.

Was in Canada at college getting ready to go to a class. Saw news first plane hit and thought damn thats crazy (they thought it was a small plane at first if I recall). Got in shower and my girl (now wife) yelled another plane just hit. Then the pentagon one happened and I was like damn, the US is at war. Still went to class after that too. Only like 8 people showed up before whole day of classes was cancelled.

I was 28 and living in Seattle. I woke up to the radio saying the first tower had just fallen. I was like wft did he just say. Shocked... Jet city was very quiet that day, just a few f-16's flying around.
They woke a sleeping giant

The skies over US were empty for quite a few days. All traffic halted.

Please don't take this the wrong way guys. But I think it is just crazy but everyone said it has effected america and I don't doubt that but people like me and stray haven't really "felt" the effect of it because we have always lived with it, we don't know much difference. Sorta sad because I guess I don't remember what America once was. I understand it all now that I am older but it's just weird to think about.

That terrible day was followed by three+ years of patriotism I never felt before.
The pendulum has swung again, in the opposite direction as of late.

So true Mes. I have flown my American flag everyday sense september 12th 2001. Except on labor day weekend. Then I fly my Hungarian flag. I figure it's the most non-offensive time to fly it.

So I'm on a different forum, and over there I have only about 100 posts. My mom walks by and says wow. That person must have a lot of time on their hands. I was like oh really and showed her my MMi post number. All she could say was, "you'd better be getting A's" lmao
