    Are you a guest or admin on your computer. You'll need admin access to change permissions

    You're going to have to change permissions by Terminal.

    Run this in Terminal:

    $ sudo -s
    # chmod a+wx (/full/path/to/file)
    # rm -rf (/full/path/to/file)

    And that'll solve your file problem. Be careful with what you're deleting though, with that shell you will have the full keys to the kingdom and can delete some really important, non-replaceable **** without being asked to confirm.

    Please elaborate. Did it just not delete?

    You can also try chmod 0777 -v -R (/full/path/to/file) instead of the a+wx.

    ...

    Oh you silly.

    Replace (full/path/to/file) with where the file is located in your UNIX file hierarchy.

    So if you're looking to delete "dirtypr0nz.m4a" on your Desktop, the commands would go:

    chmod 0777 -v -R ~/Desktop/dirtypr0nz.m4a
    OR
    chmod 0777 -v -R /Users/Stray (or whatever your username is)/Desktop/dirtypr0nz.m4a
    Follow?
