...on the other hand I have been particularly underwhelmed by the videos of Snow Leopard.

Snow Leo is just bug fixes, there are no new features. I still don't know who is willing to pay for bug fixes when it comes time to upgrade.

I'm personally psyched for snow leopard, if I understand correctly, it will free up disk space and give you better performance. That's exactly what I want because my low-end mac needs all the help it can get.

Your low end mac might not run it. I remember when they released Leo they locked out several models of Mac's from the past. The intel switch is one thing SNEO (snow leo
) is primarily directed at.

Long as you're intel you're good to go.
...........for now. I don't consider anything intel low end since they start @ 1.83ghz.

Man, I'm dying to get NFS: Carbon and the original Halo: CE for Mac, but Halo is apparently quite rare. It sells online for like $125...

^I never played it and figured I'd test it out for Mac since it looked great in the video on apple.com and since I've been playing NFS: Undercover on my 360 with my friend and I love it... The last one I've played was Most Wanted, also for the 360.
Undercover is a really cool game, though...
Sir! Just kidding. To each his own, but me personally, I <3 teh Haloz.Respect your elders.
