We usually work out of Fourchon, La down by Grand Isle, but that port got hammered by Gustav and now it is flooding do to Ike. It is the busiest oil field port in the gulf.
We are standing by down in Mobile Bay, Al waiting for it to pass. I have been here since Gustav came through.

I'm in the Houston area of Tx. Wind is pretty bad right now....Hopefully the house doesn't get flooded
. But the storm is coming right for us....guess we just have to wait and see what happens

Lmao I like that. It's not gonna happen tho. I live too far on the outskirts of the hurricane. Weatherbug on my phone says we've only gotten .53 inches of rain! The wind is blowing an a constant 30 miles an hour however.... Its making the electricity line rub against the tree branches and flickers the lights. I'm in central La close to the Texas border fyi.

Yeah some guy on the news said Houston was not going to be recognizable after Ike blows through. Have any of you seen the footage of the Hilton hotel there? The walls are cracking and beginning to fall off. One good sized piece is just plane gone.
