iTunes 8 Sucks...so far
Started looking through iTunes 8 glitchy as hell. First off shuffle songs took some work to get going, had to re-open iTunes twice. "Genius took almost 2 hours to get working. Can't find how to choose whether a video is tv or movie (loaded tv show, showed up as movie (as usual) but can't change to movie. So far not impressed AT ALL.

I'm happy too and the genius bar on the right of my library looks like a Google adwords kind of idea.

twitter.com/dale1vMicrosoft owns the internet through Hotmail. The .HTML is short for Hotmail, so all .HTML files are MS files.

I am gonna pass on this version. I can't stand the version of iTunes I have now and I would imagine the new version is just as hideous.

Sounds like Apple is still dropping the ball on everything new they release. I wouldn't be surprised if the new iPod's had hardware problems too.

Totally Pissed @ iTunes 8
Totally pissed at the whole 'Apple Rocks' event.
What kind of a company rents a massive hall & goes worldwide on camera to say 'we finally put a speaker in the iPod Touch', new Nanos & I'm alive, against whatever reports you heard".
Seriously, I love Apple. I love Steve Jobs & think he's brilliant.
But I was dissappointed at Tuesday's show compared to previous Keynotes. I watched others play games on their iPhones more that I played while watching??!!Last edited by dale1v; 09-11-2008 at 03:31 AM. Reason: advertising

Guess I'm just lucky...iTunes 8 runs beautifully under Leopard for me! Genius in particular kicks ***** and stability is no problem whatsoever.

Spoiled as we are, if we had watched that Keynote before iPhone or iPod Touch came out. we would have flipped for the new nano. The colors available are incredible. The size and shape and layout are outstanding. The UI is just astounding. The new Touch looks amazing. How could one be so negative regarding the keynote and the new product launch? I thought they are headed for a good christmas season. If I owned anything but an iphone Id probably buy a new nano. Not the touch, as I'd have to pay for firmware updates.
And the new ideas implemented in iTunes , mainly Genius. Coverflow and UI for files is just cool. Seems its buggy for some people, but unless most people have the same issues surely this user error not Apple.

You can't no longer import music or video in Itunes 8? I don't see the import feature in itunes 8. Am I missing something?

So far for me iTunes 8 has:
1) Made my machine Kernel Panic (apparently it or OS X couldn't send an interrupt command to one of my CPUs)
2) Made the "No Media" issue on my iPhones return shortly after syncing under iTunes 8
3) Made me wish I was still on 1.1.4
4) Wishing it was back to being SoundJam MP circa 2002I came, I saw, I forgot what the hell I was there for.
