Gonna Buy Me A New TV...
but i cant decide which one to get! i know i want a big tv (46-61") and 1080p .
the 1st decision i need to make is DLP or LCD. the only thing i can find that is really different between them is that there is a bulb in the DLP that needs to be replaced every so often, but the LCD doesnt.
im kinda in between 3 choices:
DLP Samsung 61"
DLP Samsung 56"
and
LCD Samsung 46"
and my wife and i also are buying a new entertainment center (which also will have a bearing in what size we buy)
can you help a guy out?

I'd go with Sony over Samsung for a DLP any day. I traded a 50" Samsung for a 60" Sony and it's a WORLD of difference.

I personally like Samsung over Sony, especially when price is considered. I also prefer LCD over DLP. Correct me if I'm wrong (which I'm sure someone will) but isn't DLP's viewing area MUCH less than LCD? I know I have 178 degrees of viewing on my LCD...
Also, why not go with 120Hz refresh rate? That's where technology is going. You might be mad later you didn't go w/the newest technology.Last edited by rxmxsh; 08-27-2008 at 12:09 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I ended up getting a 52" samsung LCD, a LN52A650 to be exact. I got a ps3 also and I am so glad I went with the LCD and 52". It's a lot better than all of my family's tvs and I wouldn't trade it for any other tv. Maybe a bigger one
but mine is a 120hz, and I hear there are 240hz comming out soon. I might need to check those out too
