You got a desk? Show'em if ya got'em
We have the car thread and the person thread. Figured we could have a desk thread. I have two desks (one up stairs and one downstairs). I use my MacBook mostly upstairs in my home office and my work desk is an electronics station so it is beat.
Show'em if you got'em. I'll get a pic of my other desk shortly.

This dell laptop is a beast. Its spacious so it has good cooling. Has the 8600m gt 256mb too.
I play Crysis at all medium with shaders on high. Every game is playable with at least medium settings.
Dell Vostro 1500. You can get one for like 800 i think.

The iPhone's no match for the Mogul for my business needs.
I Really want to like the iPhone. The form factor's Great, larger screen is a big plus, but the dropped calls, and lack of True enterprise integration is a pain.
1) No repeating alarms (JB IntelliScreen fixed that)
2) Can not accept appointments OTA, not even .ics invites.
3) No today screen (JB IntelliScreenfixed that too)
Jailbreaking helps some, but Apple's got some ways to go before any true enterprise considers it seriously.
I have modded the Mogul a lot! So JailBreaking the iPhone was a must for me. I really want a personalized iPhone, and not Steve's brainwashing of what he thinks every one should have!
Here's my iPhone's "Desktop" next to the Mogul's (not to scale obviously...)

Here's my office workspace. Yes, those earmuff looking things to the left are fuzzy handcuffs.
On the right is a "lounge chair" for the iPhone. (It's not there because I used it to take this picture.)

Houdini7 - I agree with you on the Mogul. It was a difficult decision to sell my enhanced 8525. Loved it! Much more business-friendly than the iPhone. There's a lot of open-source development geared towards Win Mobile devices - many that mimic the iPhone's capabilities - and I contributed with graphics support. Ultimately though, I opted for the larger screen that made it easier to see without having to pull out the glasses.Last edited by dkaye; 08-25-2008 at 01:30 PM. Reason: re-tag the image.
