After spotting the thread about "i love this site but i hate it",
i have to say the last week, the site has been getting progressivly slower....
HOWEVER (dont flame me yet lol)....is there anything people can do to help aside donations?

eg, ive got a site hosted on a semi dedicated server with about 400mb free.
could it be used to mirror some data, split bandwidth maybe or even just host some downloads to ease the burden??

(im not so ofay with how to go about setting ne of that up, lol, but im sure i can be guided through it easily enough)

Poetic_Folly / Cash / etc PM me if i can be of help, that 400mb is sat doing nothing, and basically has 0 bandwidth being used at present too
(only Admin, Owner, or serious mods pm me pls, im not giving the details out willy nilly lol)

Just a thought -- it may well be a pointless one lol but im trying!

Yes… the servers… all too slow. Most of the time I'm not even able to post something… sadly thats exactly the point of a forum.

My God folks we have addressed this already in every thread it has come up in over the past few days. We are adding more hardware and reconfiguring stuff to better help with the slow and get quick again. 400 MB of space, while a kind gesture, would not put a dent in anything we use - this is a very large site.

It. Will. Be. Fixed. Very. Soon.

As we've stated before, site being slow and having issues is a much bigger deal to us than it is to you, so you can be sure it is our top priority. Now stop posting MORE threads about stuff that is obviously top priority, WELL-known by the admins (cash7c3 and I), and has been said MANY times it will be addressed. These things are NOT instant, techs have to install new hardware, configs have to be redone, software has to be installed. It is being done as we speak. Patience, padwans.

I don't think this was another thread complaining about how fawkin slow this site is, I actually think that this thread was made in good gesture. I donate to my long time forum to help them with the bills, and I would do the same here.

sorry, i wasnt slating the site or moaning about its speed, i was just seeing if i or any others could help in anyway.

I realise 400mb is nowt compared to what u use / need but it was just a thought, since its sat there doing nothing i wondered if it would be of any use to you what so ever.

That should never be an issue.

Once our optimizations are done, the server farm will be able to handle anything - we should never have to worry about how many people are on the site. You're all welcome any time, good people. haha

I dont' care what anyone says, I love this site!!

If i am havimg trouble gettin on, I try, try and try again!! If I still can't get on, I get away from my computer, as, at this point I want to slam my computer on the floor really hard! heheheh I get away for a little while, then come back to it, and bamn!! I'm on my very favorite site on the internet, and once again happy!

So lay off of the complaints people, they are working on it, already said it over and over again, calm down and appreciate what we do have when we have it!! Love ya! Muuuaaahh!!
