Creeps on the internet - story time

So I suppose we all have our stories. I have more than I'd like to, including one guy deciding he "loved" me through a forum and up and moving from CA to WI (where I live). Anyways, the latest really does baffle me. I used to work for a couple of websites/forums for a span of 3 years or so. Somewhere in there the guy I worked for spawned some profile based fake myspace thing. Since I was working for him, I went all out and had pictures and whatever else on my profile. I closed it once he sold it, about a year ago.

Soooo fast forward at least a year and a half, I get a message from a friend linking me to some random myspace page where... I find myself looking at a profile picture of me. Once I get home from work and can finally check the other pictures on this person's page I find 5 more pictures of me, including me and my dog and me and my ex (who she was nice enough to rename for me). Of all the pictures of all the women in the world, why this chick decided she wanted to pretend to be me is quite amusing

So of course I messaged anybody who had commented on "my" pictures thanking them for their nice comments, seeing as how they were all really me. haha. I noticed her friend count dropped after I sent those... Today her profile is private, of course, so who knows what still lurks on her page.

Yeh same here its really strange that people try to pretend to be someone else on the internet. I mean why would you want to do that in the first place?

actually my friend used to work for this crook doing "Graphic design" but the guy ran some club and he would have his workers find pictures of hot chicks on myspace and the internet, and make fake myspace accounts as well as flyers with them in it.. talk about illegal, but yeah look out for that..

Yeah, I'm sure it's more prevalent than you'd like to think. Too strange.
