Why Do People Have To Touch The Computer Screen?

I have noticed over the years computing with people or when they are over computing when they want to point out something on the computer they always have to touch it..... Argggggggg! What is that all about that they have to touch it? I hate finger prints!

If the touch my screen, I immediately poke their face and ask them if they like it because god damn its annoying having to clean my screen.

I feel you. I really hate when peope do that, why is it they feel the need to touch. I always thought I was the only that felt that way. People sometimes get offended but I am like Freaken A! you dont have to touch the screen.

i can deal with people like my gf touching my computer screen, remember there's always worse like the time my brother socked my desktop monitor when he was wasted. All because counter strike source kept crashing due to bad drivers.

I hate that, just use the mouse to show me something. This post reminded me of when i went to BestBuy to buy a TV as my computer monitor the worker there was playing with the designs he could make in the TVs that took longer to refresh when you touch them. lol

I have a tabletpc and have to deal with people wanting to touch the screen constantly even though it isn't finger sensitive, just pen. As if it doesn't get dirty enough with me writing with it...

Guys guys, its just a computer screen... finger prints can be wiped off. But to answer your question I really dont have a clue. I admit I sometimes although not intentionally touch people's screens to help them. I think maybe it's just natural instincts?

Because we're primates. Humans are tactile creatures. We learn, observe, show, etc., through physical feeling, and enjoy touching things.
For the same reason people hug, and for the same reason they beat each other up.

For the same reason monkeys throw poo.
