Double bag it. 15+ years of double bagging laptops, and I've never lost one to a fall.
I currently use this for my 15" MBP:

yeah, Double bagging can save the life of your laptop when it falls, so do that. The incase hard case is very good too. Keeps the out side scratch free and clean, but once and a while some dirt gets it so clean it occasionally. I forget what I'm using, but I have a keyboard and mouse cover. I got a a $3,300+ macbook pro. I WILL ALWAYS PROTECT THIS BABY!!

Just as Aiyo said, the 2.6GHz MBP is one of the highend laptops you can buy. It's a piece of hardware that was methodically put together, rather than buying a bunch of hardware and putting it together.
I have to admit 4.6 is powerful, what's your processor.
