Once you go Mac you never go back.

How you feel about 10.6 leaving the PPC, I have both an old MBP PPC and MBP Penryn, I've decide to get the Intel MBP just knowing that one day Apple will leave the PPC behind.

Aside from limited use the PPC when 10.6, however our Macs will not longer be clutter with universal binary applications. I use XSlimmer, however its just one of those apps that must be used with caution.

i have an intel macbook, so i don't have a problem. but my dad, bought a $2,500 PowerMac G5 right when it came out. it's a shame that that computer will go to waste soon.

If you do want it to go to waste, it's a good time for your dad to get familiar with Linux if he's not yet. It will be make one heck of a Linux machine, after it's still a Mac at heart.

    Answer this and I'll join.

    Here's my problem:

    Here's the solution:

Rebuilding the Loop Index in GarageBand

    Here's what's messing me up:

Drag all "Search Index" files from the Apple Loops Index folder to the Trash. (These files will be rebuilt later.)
I looked in my loops folder and there is nothing but loops in there. WTF are search indexes?

Now, read this and tell me how to do the alternate version of this fix. I am the last poster in the thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread....01138&tstart=0

I want the answer to the first one more than the second. Fix this and this group will prove useful.

Don't matter, Apple's website on the location of index's are wrong for the versions. I fixed it.

So true. When I first got my iBook G4 I absolutely loved it. It hurts to use Vista...I am looking into getting a MacBook, the Black one to match my iPhone 3G
