ouch.

H_N_B- make sure that when you do build it, all wires you put are the right way round, and you discharge all static from you by touching metal on the case before putting in your components, otherwise you will be a very sad noodle boy.

My PC is cheap but the components dissipate heat very well; the only fan i have running is the CPU one, and temperatures are always between 30-40 degrees

I have heard building a computer is like fixing up mechano. Is that true? I have always wanted to build a computer, so... where to start? Assuming I have all the parts.

You sure thats not at full load, both my 8800gt's dont get that hot at load lol.

Think you might find they idle at around 40-50c and on load around 60-70c.

I use rivatuner and have my fans constantly set to 75% speed. helps alot lol

That is true matey..

your CPU will only go in one way.
you RAM will only go in one way.
Your GFX Card will only go in one way, but some motherboads have 2 slots for SLI. If oyu only have 1 GFX Card it goes in top slot.

Only thing hard (well its not hard just cant think of the right word to use ) Is the wiring of the case and componants to the motherboard. For the first few times the manuals are the best begginners guide, after that you kind of just get the nak of it and you can do it blind folded

No, when I say they run hot, I really mean they run hot. Full load they get closer to 100 by design. The 4870x2 was actually built to run full load at 100 or so. The entire series is like that.

Oh my this was a lot easier than I expected. I kinda freaked out a second when putting the CPU Fan/Heatsink thingy but after that everything simply was "plus X here"
