Anyone here ride?
So are there any bikers here? I'm looking at getting me a Harley to start riding with my dad next year, anyone ridden a sportster before?

Uhh, sure.. I personally would rather have a Harley, and eventually get me a Harley, I like the ninja's too but it would be kinda....... different 'specially since everyone I'm gonna be riding with is riding Harley's.. I might but who knows...

I ride, Sportsters are good bikes for a starter. Get the 1200 if you can, you will appreciate the additional power. I've ridden a lot of different bikes, from sport bikes to a custom Bourget (wasn't mine). Sold my Honda last year and haven't bought another one yet, but will be VERY soon.
Apples taste good.

I started out on a Sportster, I was warned against it as I was told I would out grow it fast and want to upgrade to a Big Twin. They were absolutely right. In less than a year I wanted to upgrade. So I did, I currently have a 2001 Fat Boy. I had to upgrade that to a 95" kit with high flow heads and a 260 Cam.
Be careful They are addicting and expensive. H-D = hundreds of dollars.

2008 Suzuki GSXR 1000 all black. But if I was to get a harley it would have to be a V- ride.

I picked up my motorcycle license a few months back, but I've been saving up for a Suzuki SV650. It's a naked standard. Not nearly as relaxed as a cruiser, but without the backbreaking riding posture of a sport bike. The Suzuki SV650S is the upgraded model with a sportier front end.

Rockets are fun and all, but Cruisers are the only way to go!
But I am biased and this is why.
Here is mine.

Whatever it comes down to ride what you like, not what the guy next to you wants you to ride.
