You pay $400 for your Playstation, and $60/month for the internet to use it on, does that mean games should be free?
You pay a few grand for a TV, then $100+/month for cable. Does that mean Blockbuster should give you free movies?
You pay $115+/month for your
cell phone bill. That has nothing do with Super Monkey Ball and all that. That's a service you're paying for - connection to a giant network that employs tens of thousands of people and costs hundred of millions of dollars a year to run. Your phone is ALSO a computer. You want new games than it comes with, and somebody put hundreds of hours of work into creating an incredible game - pay the man.

Cydia is and has been a ready and more than adequate replacement for a good while now, and is already supported by ModMyI (we were actually the first to support them among the Community repos), Ste, and BigBoss. Jailbreaking is going nowhere, and will easily be able to co-exist with the AppStore - you won't have to pick and choose which you want.
