Is there a way to block certain people from texting and calling?

for unwanted calls, I use a silent ring tone.
but there's little you can do.... once you've received the SMS, you've paid for it already, so just ignore it, or report the abuser to your phone company or police.

check with your provider, some offer that kind of service. However, it isn't very easy to setup.

I use grandcentral.com
Calls can go through there before going to your phone so you can filter/block calls. If you need an invite - I have some.

If your on AT&T they will let you change your number once for free for harrassment.
