    Default fogotten password

    ok i just bought a macbook off my cousin since most of you guys here are mac heads but he doesnt remember the password so is there anyway around this?

    use the restore discs that came with it and change password.

    damn! no disc with it cousin hasnt a clue.more money then sense he has the feather head.
    the only way now is to buy a copy of osx and reformat is it?

    sound chuck thanks a mill,this will be my first time using a mac so looking forward to new things,up until i got the iphone i used to not think much of macs and apple but now a whole new view on it!

    ok got my hands on leopard but nothing happens when i put the cd in still on the password screen.
    any ideas guys?

    Hold the C key down on boot. Make sure the Leopard Disk is in the drive.
