Yes, but besides the 3G, we're stuck with the same 2 MP camera (no flash, no video recording). It's just an updated look as far as I'm concerned. And the 3G isn't even a priority on my list because once they figure out how to unlock it, mine will be on T-Mobile anyways.

Well I can't Because I jsut signed a 2 year contract a couple months ago for my iphone. and now i cant go to the 3g for about 2 years.

sure you can, lets say you buy the new Iphone when it comes out on July 11, what will happen is you will extend your contract for 2 years. So your new contract ends 2 yrs from July 11

I'm really not that worried. The 10th is my birthday, so on the way home 3 friends and I are planning to stop by and pick them up, but there are 8 stores within 10 miles of my apartment and I can't imagine they'll all be packed. Since you have to activate in-store, I'd think it won't be nearly as crowded as last time.

I wouldnt say that. My friend can pick up the 3G network on his phone and he cant even get it in dallas. So I dont know about that. Paying for it, and not being able to use it sucks.

My wife was able to get a very strong 3G signal in Dallas on her AT&T Blackjack II. I'm not sure how your friend doesn't get a 3G signal. He may want to try a different phone.

I gotta agree with ARCHA1C, AT&T's 3G isnt like TMO's 3G its actually HSDPA which is extremely fast for a mobile device, my AT&T Tilt had it and everyone i used it i had coverage in the Philly area. It was quick enough i never had to use wifi on it, seriously. There are some AT&T phones that only support 3G and not HSDPA nor HSUPA so that could be the difference
