I paid for the good apps and it was well worth it. You need at least some faith. And why make a thread saying your leaving just to get feedback on paid apps. Why not make a "What do you think about paying for apps" thread.

ok when i say crap i mean that most of the apps anyone downloads are too often show offs that u dont really use and u never open again, second i am not doing this for attention i just wanted some feedback on the app pricing and how the release of 2.0 will affect people in the iphone modding community, and third I believe you can charge whatever you want for your work and I actually support it, I just have to wonder if these companies and developers are for real I dont want to pay for a project to get cut off or suspended eventually not to mention having to pay for something now and again when it is released through the app store

well it seemed to get a little attention correct?

What you will see is a lot of people staying with firmware 1.1.4 because a lot of the apps now will not work with 2.0. That being the case apples appstore will be used mostly by people who do not jailbreak and those will be the poeple spending the money on apps.

It is important to understand that none of the todays’ apps will run on 2.0. The frameworks have changed so you cannot run current apps. They all need to be recompiled. To make matters worse, they cannot just be recompiled. The developers will need to reinstall a new toolchain (a huge task) and then change their code around because many functions have changed. It will not be a fast task. Remember that many developers still haven’t even updated their apps to correctly support 1.1.3/4 so you can expect some apps will never be updated.
