Customs - help?
DAMN IT
Had 5 phones here in Aus ready to be delivered tomorrow, but now got a letter from customs.
I have to declare them, pay the fee of approx $300-350AUD to have them released, then if paperwork filled out correctly, will take 10-15 days to have them sent out to me (EVEN THOUGH I LIVE 30 MINS AWAY FROM AIRPORT)
Anyone else run into this prob Any help would be appreciated.
Thx.
ps. for general chit-chat side of things, How's everyone doin today? :-)Unable to restore signature. Error (1015)

It's not really a problem, it's a tax that someone importing $2000 worth of goods should know about!

yeah man, heard about that ACT last year, its old news. i think you can only order items bellow 1000$ to avoid it. what i do when i need to order alot of stuff overseas is use my friends, i have it delivered to different addresses and different reciepients. just make sure your friend knows to avoid confusion.

In the UK the lower limit is about £17. So pretty much everything we import is subject to customs tax

can you not just drive to where they are holding them and pay the tax and pick up your item? i did that when i got charged tax here in britain. can you not track them on the shipping website to find out where they are?
