Does anyone know?

Hi all,
I am facing a small problem here and I am sure someone of you would be of help! Some AVI movie files I download do not convert through Nero. Nero just seems to stop trying to convert them. It only happens on a very small percentage of AVI Movie files, 1 out of 50. I think this might be because of improper codec used in the AVI movie! In addition, when I try to convert these to MPEG or VCD, the sound goes out of sync with the picture. I am looking a program that can get me rid of these two problems. Does anyone know a good program for converting video files without losing the sound or synchronization with the picture?
Thanks in advance!

RE: Does anyone know?

Hi,
I recently came across a site called http://www.avi-to-mpeg.net/ that provides AVI to MPEG conversion software & their reviews. You also can learn how to convert AVI to MPEG video format and read reviews of popular AVI to MPEG converter software. Hope this will help you. Good Luck!

I can vouch for Videora, however, it can be 'fussy' at times. For example, my Videora is just about done converting the entire 11th season of South Park to MP4 format for the iPhone. It's working great! But, I try to convert a DVD (Live Free or Die Hard) that I had decrypted and stored on my HDD, and it will run it's course (like 4 hours) and then will just keep going past 100% (it doesn't read 101, 102, 103... But it does show that it is still converting the video). It never did convert that DVD completely. But for File-File conversion, I think it does a fine job

I would recommend a UK site called www.easymultimedia.co.uk which provides good support on CD duplication with software. It performs all important tasks for you like CD duplication with Standard or slim line CD Jewel Cases, CD duplication without Packaging, wrapped and supplied on Spindles, CD duplication With Cardboard Wallets or Cardboard Sleeves etc. at very low cost. Currently they are offering a 1000 with jewel cases for about £500. Just check this site out for more details as it might be useful and beneficial tool for you as well.

Hi,i think this tools may help you
FREE PROGRAM #1 - Videora iPod Converter

Videora iPod Converter is a free video conversion application developed by the creators of Videora. It allows you to convert your regular PC video files (avi, mpeg, etc) into the proper video format that your iPod understands.

Step 1. Download and install the program from one of the following locations: http://videora.resgestae.net/videora..._Installer.exe

Step 2. Launch Videora iPod Converter. Choose Convert from the list on the left side of the window.
Click the image to open in full size.
Step 3. Click Transcode New Video in the Transcoding Queue section. Locate your video file such as AVI, MPEG etc. and click Open.

Step 4. Enter Title (enter any text into the corresponding Title field on the right side of the window).

Step 5. Finally, click Start.

Once the transcode is complete, your video is ready to be moved to your iPod device. The converted file will be located in the Output Videos to: folder specified in the Setup section. Simply copy the file using Windows Explorer to your device, or if your device is an iPod, import the video into iTunes.
