LOL teens upload Raging Thunder to a demo iPhone at a Palo Alto apple store.

How can they download over the air when the phone is not jailbroken?

Yes, its deserved though, its their stuff you can't just do that, but police is to extreme, i would have just told them that i understand why they do that, but you can't do that to our iPhones, you could get in trouble.

The store manager had no right to detain them after they had already left the store. I think that he exaggerated by calling the police, too. I mean, it's just Total read/write access to the system, free VoIP, Games, Unlocking, Utilities, TV, Themes, etc. (I'm dead serious. There is no sarcasm in there)

But seriously, all that was needed to put the phone back in order was a 10-minute restore. It's not like if they blew up the phone modding it... Hmm... I gotta go add that to my idea list.

my friend did that in Connecticut, except he didnt get caught
he just went to jailbreakme.com (back when we were all on 1.1.1)
and jailbroke the display phone haha

The manager then called the police

Spend less time calling the police and more time throwing out suggestions to your superiors on how to make the boring stock iPhone (that you employees love so much) worthwhile.
I would definitely charge him with wasting police time.

If I were a cop, I'd empty a bottle of pepper spray down his throat.

Heard many stories about stupid Apple staff, and this one adds to the list.

Don't understand why they didn't run. That's like...the smart thing to do when a MANAGER is chasing you. He wasn't even chasing, he just demanded it.
