Steve Jobs aint stupid
Steve job knows a large majority of people who buy iphone is because people love the cool third party apps, who wants a normal iphone, do you?
so therefore, im pretty sure all the apps for the first gen iphone could be used for iphone2, he wont put like a "super anti third party program" into it. and plus people will eventually find a way once again own apple with a "newer" installer.app yay

What kinda drugs have you been doing? LOL "He won't put some SUPER ANTI 3RD PARTY SOFTWARE ON THERE" LMAO. Anyways, thats what the appstore is for. A good thing is that all App Store apps will work on both 1st gen and 3G iPhones.

couldn't we just downgrade the 3G iphone? but then we wont have app store.. and.. nvm Downgrade = bad.

im sticking with 1.1.3 until 2.0 is fully broken and all my luvly apps are rockin 2.0 compatible.
