World Champions
Why do all the ESPN guys feel the need to call the NBA champions "world" champions? There's nothing world about the NBA championship. Other than 1 Canadian throw in, it's all U.S. A U.S. team hasn't won gold in the olympics or the actual world championship, fiba, since 2000 yet the NBA champions are world champions.
Every time I hear Stephen A Smith spout about the Spurs being the defending world champs I want to throw something at the tv.

Although the US hasnt won the Olympics, the stars of every team play in the NBA. So if you are good enough, you play in the NBA which has the best in the world and if you win that, you must be World Champions...

same goes with the World Series of baseball too i guess.
i think its because Americans believe they are the only country in the world haha
either way, doesn't bother me... great sports to watch!
