Our (little) community
I work at an airport so I see fellow iPhone users occasionally during the day. What strikes me as odd is that I have yet to meet a single person who knows about this site or modding/hacking at all. They all seem to be perfectly content using the device as Jobso intended. I have been doing my part to educate them on the grass on this side of the fence. I was asking a gentleman today which firmware he was running, he didn't know so I explained that the phone really gets fun when you start playing with it and proceeded to show him my phone. He asked if the Dock program was a feature of the new firmware.
As he was walking down the terminal he was whipping the phone out and I'm pretty sure he was headed to jailbreakme.com

As hard as it is to grasp this if you've been on the net for a long time, half the users are AOL users and don't get out of chats long enough to know there is a world outside "suck my finger chat13".
The other half of users running real ISP's like comcast and others make up less than 12% of ALL people worldwide.
So the chances of the average joe having a clue that of the billions of websites on the internet, and only about 12% of the people on the planet using an ISP that will travel to the billions of websites, that a few thousand members on a single internet site exists anywhere............ and he's supposed to find this site.
The logistics of it all are unimaginable and the odds of even being here are against you like a spec of dust floating around the sun.Last edited by one1; 11-11-2007 at 07:58 PM.

In all fairness to Apple, the iPhone does kick *** in so many ways right out of the box.
But once you get a taste of customizing...well, you guys know!

I know several people with the iPhone too. NONE of them have modded. ALL of them like my phone, but none will take the leap to modding. I guess it's just in all of us to modify the phone. In my case, and I am sure most of you too, I mod everything. This is simply another toy to play with (and screw up).lol..Now back to my laptop recovery..haha broke that last night. When will it end????

A babe at Starbucks have said to me she'll do anything for an iPhone. This was when I just bought a second iPhone.
I ofcourse let her play with it a little.
