Microwave my Macbook
Hello there,
I have a macbook with extended warranty from Future Shop in Canada. It has 2 years left and I was thinking before it expires if i put it in a microwave (with ram and batt removed) for 2-3 seconds would the logic board burn? Then Future Shop would give me a model that's current to that time
.. I am pretty sure that it has stickers inside that change when liquid hits them so medicinal alcohol etc is probably not an option but i was just wondering if they can find out if it was in a microwave
Just a question.. don't bash on me
What do you guys think ? heh

run a nice deep hot bath, with lots of bubbles, jump in and relax for 5/10 mins,
then grab your macbook (plugged in of course) and toss it into the tub with you.
problem solved

If you can, take the logic board out. Then just subject it to all types of extreme weather. Leave it in your car in the hot sun, in the freezing cold...
If this doesnt work, you still have 2 years to find an answer
Or try this:
Put on some wool socks.
Rub vigorously on the carpet.
Touch logic board.
If necessary, repeat.Last edited by chancre_scolex; 11-07-2007 at 01:37 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

As a rule of thumb I generally try to post ways I am going to screw apple on a policed board where apple (read: apple's lawyers) are paid to read and make sure no illegal activity is going on related to apple with software, scams, etc...
THEN in the public open forum I make it extremely clear what will be wrong with the unit when I send it back.
So............... Piss outside on windy days, much?Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning
