Car Set-Up?
So.. how is everybody's car set-up?
Anybody have some awesome stereo system or something?
Take some pictures if you do.. Or just post what you in text.
I am looking more and more because I am not exactly getting the car I want for my 16th birthday, but, my parents said, when I turn 15, we are going to start doing things to the car sitting in my yard =/
But I am going to get an amazing stereo system for sure. Probably with a multi-media receiver with the motorized screen.
So, what do you have?Proud MMi Retired Moderator.

Lol.
I am getting a 1995 Ford Bronco =/
I agreed to it, because I already stress my parents out enough with basically begging for every new electronic that comes out xDD
The car itself isn't necessarily bad, just ours.. We used to use it for mudding and stuff, and I will be using it to travel and use everyday.
But, after we do all the new stuff to it, I will probably want to keep it for my life =]
But not have it for the car I drive all the time.Proud MMi Retired Moderator.

I am just afraid it is going to big of a car for a first. It has like a 12" lift I think. I will be scared to park for the first few months..
But, at least it is bigger, which means more room for speakers and sub woofers =]
But I think we are getting a new engine too... so it shouldn't be to bad.
Then, everything else will be cosmetic I guess..Proud MMi Retired Moderator.

Ive got a JVC KD-BT1 head unit... awesome stereo has a ton of s*** built in to it... bluetooth, not that our iphones have AD2P, but it works as a hands free system too. usb for mp3/wma files. i have a sirius tuner connected to it too.
and of course taking up almost the entire trunk of my 328ic is a 12 inch sub and amp. now i just need to get the dynomat tag kit to seep my tag from rattling.

How is the JVC KD-BT1 working out with the iPhone. I know that you aren't able to play music wirelessly without AD2P, but I'm assuming that you can do it with the wired USB connection? Also, does that mean that you have to use the controls on the iPhone instead of the KD-BT1? Also, how well does the hands free portion work? Are you able to see the phone book and caller id on the KD-BT1? How well does voice dialing work? I am thinking of buying a KD-BT1 and would love to hear more about your experience.
